Karen makes ideas operational;

She is the multidisciplinary builder bringing people, ideas, resources, and systems together to make things happen. With over eight years of entrepreneurial experience and deep cultural intelligence, she understands that creative work doesn't exist in a vacuum—it requires infrastructure, people, money, logistics, relationships, timing, and strategy.
Karen François understands the relationship between creativity and execution. Today, she continues to remain curious about how organizations participate in culture and how culture can change organizations, while supporting brands and talent, connecting multiple disciplines and stakeholders to get the resulting project produced. Her ventures continue to center on building creative ecosystems, developing strategic partnerships, and creating the structures through which emerging cultural practices can grow and connect. —

ÇOIS Agency was a cultural strategy and creative production consultancy helping brands and creative talent navigate cultural markets, understand audiences and create culturally relevant opportunities from 2019-2023. Working across fashion, luxury, lifestyle, media, and the arts, she developed a distinct practice using creativity, art history, cultural research, storytelling, design, music, fashion, and relationships as tools for producing cultural outcomes.

Drawing on her entrepreneurial background and culturally informed approach, Karen is currently developing Digitale Femme, an ecosystem for women and nonbinary artists, designers, and creative practitioners working across digital art, sound, technology, design, and emerging media to find local communities and exchange resources. It supports emerging and self-directed practitioners navigating traditional and nontraditional paths— from recent graduates and independent learners to those entering creative fields later in life, people navigating structural or geographic barriers to creative participation, transitioning from other careers or industries, or rebuilding their practices after major life and professional transitions. The creative infrastructure is about bringing people, ideas, resources, and systems together to make things happen and build sustainable creative lives.

Karen practices artistically as Karen Predestin, a multidisciplinary artist and experimental practitioner exploring culture, new forms of expression and connection through technology, memory, identity, curation and new forms of storytelling. She works across 3D fabrication, creative coding, sound, spatial design, photography, video, writing, music, and archival research to develop new ways of preserving, interpreting, and experiencing cultural knowledge. She also consults as an art advisor. You can find more about her work at karenpredestin.com ☺︎
